On Tuesday, November the 12th , 2019, Al Manar International School held the annual Junior Ambassadors Conference. The conference was held at Hilton Hotel, Nashira Ballroom.

The Junior Ambassadors Conference aims to raise awareness about different worldwide concerns especially topics that involve children. Al Manar School, Dafna Branch discussed different solutions to “Stop hunger”.

During the conference, children defended the less fortunate children’s right to have sufficient, healthy food. Delegates spoke in depth about the impact of this issue and came up with possible solutions. This event can help children express their opinion, speak for themselves, and engage with others in fruitful and meaningful topics . Their work connects them with each other, with adults, and with their communities.

Students had the chance to share and discus their thoughts in front of different countries’ ambassadors, visitors from the Ministry of  Education , Qatar Charity and Civil society members, in addition to the  Press…

They also performed a subject-related song about hunger entitled “Forgotten Promises” to make the audience aware about this issue.

    At the end, Mrs Eman Taha and Mr .Youssef Al Jassim gave the winners their trophies. The winners are: Mubarek Al Otaibi from Grade 5A, he won a trophy for best speech. Faisal Masoud  from Grade 5A, he  won a trophy for the best delegate , and Tameem Al Jassim from Grade 3B, he won a trophy for  the best problem solver.

The Junior Ambassadors Conference event comes under the school’s policy towards building confident and motivated lifelong learners. We are always so proud of our students’ achievements.
