“Alone we can do little together we can do much!” was our motto for this year’s United Nations celebration.
On Tuesday, October the 22nd ,2019, Al Manar International School celebrated the United Nations Day. Students came to school wearing the UN colors: white and light blue. They also made different posters discussing the sustainable development goals of the UN assigned to their grade level. Classes were nicely decorated. We also had a visit from Mr. Danilo Padila, a UNESCO representative. He discussed with our students the importance of working together to make our world a better place and the importance of helping others. Students wrote and drew inspirational letters to be sent to kids in need in Afghanistan. Students really enjoyed their day as they discovered a lot about the world around them.
