On Thursday, the 16th of February 2017, Al Manar International School (Dafna Campus) celebrated the International Day. On this day the entire school, from our youngest student in kindergarten to our eldest in elementary school, celebrated the abundance of nationalities. We recognized our differences, shared our cultures, and learned more about life around the globe together as students, teachers, and parents.
For one day, students visited different countries, all within the walls of AMIS. The school created a “Small World” of classrooms decorated as different countries to share songs, activities, information, and food. It was a great honor and pleasure to have the ambassadors of France and Mexico sharing the celebrations with our school.
International Day is an exciting educational way to explore new cultures, celebrate our diversity, and above all recognize that no matter where we are from, we are all part of one inclusive and caring school community.
