Student Council Election Process

Almanar School > Schools > Student Council Election Process

AMIS is very excited about our 2018-2019 students’ council. Students’ Council is the voice of students as it is a representative structure through which students become more involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students.

On Sunday, September 16th, 2018 students’ council campaign process started where students needed to obtain parents/guardians permission to run and had to prepare a campaign poster and video.

The Election Day was held on Monday, 1st of October, voting was the final round in which students got experience of voting and also understood the responsibility that befalls the voters. It took place during the breaks, and after the votes were tallied, a note was written with the results, and then the results were announced.

After a competitive but cordial election process, Kamla Bu-Qarara will serve as student council president. Malak Edwan Vice-president, Lubna Alsharif as Secretary, Asmaa Al-Marzooqi as vice-secretary, and Bana Echty, Sara Mutilak, Logain Assad, Faisal Masoud, Yousef Bahr, and Selim Akl will serve as class representatives. Congratulations to our newly elected Student Council Officers for the 2018-2019 school year!
