STEM WEEK 2020

(Science, Technology, Engineering, and mathematics  Week)

AMIS Celebrated the  STEM week which extended from the 19th to  the 23rd of January 2020.AMIS Student council played an active role in the event by decorating the school walls with what STEM stands for which is Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It’s important to set future generations up for success to have careers in these fields that continue to grow.

Students had so much fun with STEM activities in a way that they didn’t realize that they were actually learning so much. The science department started by introducing STEM to students through a design challenge which was a great introduction to design thinking, because it captured the student’s interest in a way that is fun and empowering. There were a lot of competitions, recycling activities and interactive science games.

On the 23rd of January, we had the mad scientist costume day where students came to school wearing their creative scientist costumes, which included; lab coats, safety goggles, bows, gloves and crazy hairstyles!

Finally the science fair projects were the perfect way  for our students to have  fun exploring science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) which was held at the gym.
