The Department of Arabic Language at Al-Manar International School (Al-Thameed Branch) organized an Arabic spelling competition for our students from grades two to five to encourage them to read, strengthen their language skills, and communicate with the world around them.
The competition aims at enabling students to use the Arabic language properly in writing, reading and speaking. It also encourages students to explore the correct spelling of Arabic words, and understand their meanings. Moreover, this competition helps students to strive for excellence in spelling skills, and provides an opportunity to compete in a friendly atmosphere.
It is highly important to develop students’ Arabic language skills, boost self-confidence, improve communication skills, spread the spirit of enthusiasm and competition, enable students to spell correctly, and address linguistic weaknesses in a manner that combines learning, enjoyment, competition, and challenge.
It is worth mentioning that the Arabic spelling competition follows the National Standards of Arabic Language.
