Each year, on December the 5th<\/sup>,<\/strong> the world celebrates The World Soil Day<\/strong>. This is a day to raise awareness about the soil\u2019s importance to Earth. As it grows food, reduces biodiversity loss, and secures energy. Problems such deforestation, bad agricultural practices and pollution causes\u00a0soil\u00a0degradation and erosion. AMIS Student council saw a need to raise awareness about the dangers of\u00a0soil\u00a0loss, so it celebrated\u00a0World Soil Day with students.<\/p>\n

Student council committee took the opportunity to celebrate the day with the students; they shared the theme of this year which is \u201cStop\u00a0soil\u00a0erosion, save our future\u201d. It aims for raising awareness on the importance of sustaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being.<\/p>\n
