Each year, on December the 5th, the world celebrates The World Soil Day. This is a day to raise awareness about the soil’s importance to Earth. As it grows food, reduces biodiversity loss, and secures energy. Problems such deforestation, bad agricultural practices and pollution causes soil degradation and erosion. AMIS Student council saw a need to raise awareness about the dangers of soil loss, so it celebrated World Soil Day with students.

Student council committee took the opportunity to celebrate the day with the students; they shared the theme of this year which is “Stop soil erosion, save our future”. It aims for raising awareness on the importance of sustaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being.
