Earlier this year on the 2nd of September, 2020 Al Manar International School started promoting the interest of students to joining the student council committee by presenting a power point presentation and explaining the role of each position. And present a list of qualifications for each position. Al Dafna campus was very excited about our 2020-2021 student council committee. Student Council is the voice of students as it is a representative structure through which students become more involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students.
That process yielded a total of 25 candidates in third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades who ran for 12 positions on the 2020-2021 Al Manar International School student council. Candidates had a wonderful campaign; they prepared a video limited to two minutes – to student’s body on why they should be elected Each candidate explained why they would be the best choice and how they planned to bring about a positive change for the good of the school.
The Election Day was held on Thursday, 15th of October, voting was the final round in which students got experience of voting and also understood the responsibility that befalls the voters. It took place during the breaks, and after the votes were tallied, a note was written with the results, and then the results were announced.
Congratulates to our newly elected Student Council for 2020-2021 school year!
