AL MANAR INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL- DAFNA BRANCH, WINS THE “DIAMOND AWARD” FOR ITS OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN "MY VALUES DRAW MY IDENTITY" PROGRAM
On June 2, Al Manar International School – Dafna Branch was proudly awarded the Diamond Prize which is the highest honor award granted by the Ministry. This was for our outstanding implementation of the "My Values Draw My Identity" program in our school.
This recognition was not easily won. It reflects months of dedication, teamwork, and a deep commitment to turning values into lived experiences across the school. From classrooms to community involvement, our approach stood out for its creativity, consistency, and impact.
The Diamond Prize is a symbol of our identity as a school that leads with values, educates with purpose, and achieves through unity.
As part of our commitment to make Math exciting and high profile in our school, we took part in a friendly competition involving schools in Qatar (QATAR ROCKS 2025).. The competition took place from Monday, January 27 to Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
Our school emerged as the 2nd highest school average in the entire competition among 32 schools.

On May 20th, Al Manar International School – Dafna Branch proudly hosted this year’s Junior Ambassador Conference (JAC) under the theme:
“The Global Crisis of Water Scarcity: A Growing Threat Without Borders.”
Our passionate students delivered powerful presentations, raising awareness about one of the world’s most pressing issues.
We were honored to welcome our esteemed Board of Advisors as judges:
Mr. Issa Mohamed Al Ishaq, Mr. Ibrahim Al Jannahi, and Mr. Jassim Fakhroo, whose presence and insights made the event even more impactful.
We were also delighted to have Mr. Abdulnaser, Principal of Al Manar International School – Althameed Branch, among our special guests.

في 20 مايو، استضاف فرع الدفنة في مدرسة المنار الدولية بكل فخر مؤتمر السفراء الصغار (JAC) لهذا العام، تحت شعار:
"أزمة ندرة المياه العالمية: تهديد متزايد بلا حدود."
قدم طلابنا المتحمسون خطب مؤثرة، سلطوا من خلالها الضوء على واحدة من أكثر القضايا إلحاحًا في العالم.

السيد عيسى محمد آل إسحق، السيد إبراهيم الجناحي، والسيد جاسم فخرو، الذين أضاف حضورهم وخبراتهم أثرًا كبيرًا على الفعالية.
كما سعدنا بحضور السيد عبد الناصر، مدير فرع الثميد في مدرسة المنار الدولية، كأحد ضيوفنا المميزين.
يوم نفخر فيه بالتفكير النقدي، والمهارات الخطابية، والوعي العالمي.
Today, Grade 6 students participated in an engaging and educational workshop focused on sustainability. The session highlighted the harmful effects of plastic on the environment.
The students not only learned about the science behind sustainability but also got creative by designing their own reusable tote bags. This activity allowed them to combine art and environmental responsibility in a fun and hands-on way.
Under the framework of Aseel Initiative, students performed a play entitled "My family and I, My family is life!"

Today, our Grade 6 students had an exciting lesson on the importance of the skeletal system! They explored how the different types of joints, such as hinge, pivot, and ligaments, enable our bodies to move. With the help of a skeletal model, students were able to see firsthand how these joints work together to support movement and flexibility. Great hands-on learning!
The Qatar Reads Association invited the Read to Me Committee to the "One Book, One Doha Festival", inspired by Ghassan Kanafani’s "Men in the Sun". This engaging event will allow students to explore the story’s key themes through a variety of educational and interactive activities.

This week, on Wednesday and Thursday, November 20th and 21st, our students had an amazing time diving into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities! The events were a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their creativity and innovation.
هذا الأسبوع، يومي الأربعاء والخميس، 20 و21 نوفمبر، استمتع طلابنا بوقت رائع في الأنشطة المتعلقة بـ STEM (العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات)! كانت الفعاليات فرصة رائعة لهم لعرض إبداعهم وابتكاراتهم.
The students of Al-Manar School participated in the first scouts' gathering under the slogan "In the Sky of Glory, We Rise," held at Al-Riffa School. During this gathering, the students learned many scouting rules and took part in various activities that contributed to enhancing team spirit and developing their scouting skills.

The school's second-level football team, between students of grades A and B, qualified for the next round in the school Olympic program by drawing in the first match with Ebla School, a goalless draw, then a 1-1 draw in the second match with Cambridge School, and winning in the third match against Tnc School.
The KG2 students joyfully celebrated their 100th day of school with exciting hands-on activities! They practiced early writing skills by tracing and writing 100 words and sentences. In math, they counted and wrote numbers up to 100, built colorful towers using 100 cubes, and carefully stacked 100 cups to create tall structures. With the help of wonderful parent volunteers, the children moved through different fun stations. They also got creative by drawing 100 hearts and making fingerprint art with 100 prints. Using play dough, they shaped numbers and ten frames, making learning interactive and enjoyable. It was a special day filled with laughter, learning, and celebration!

احتفل طلاب صف الروضة الثاني بيومهم الدراسي المئة من خلال أنشطة ممتعة وتفاعلية! قاموا بتطوير مهاراتهم الكتابية من خلال تتبع وكتابة 100 كلمة وجملة. في الرياضيات، عدّوا وكتبوا الأرقام حتى 100، وبنوا أبراجًا ملونة باستخدام 100 مكعب، كما قاموا بترتيب 100 كوب لإنشاء هياكل طويلة. بمساعدة أولياء الأمور المتطوعين، انتقل الأطفال بين محطات أنشطة مختلفة وممتعة. كما أظهروا إبداعهم برسم 100 قلب وعمل بصمات فنية باستخدام 100 بصمة إصبع. وباستخدام الصلصال، شكلوا الأرقام مما جعل التعلم ممتعًا وتفاعليًا. لقد كان يومًا مميزًا مليئًا بالمرح والتعلم والاحتفال!

Sports Day at Almanar International School, Dafna Branch, was a vibrant and energetic event filled with excitement and teamwork. Students participated in a variety of athletic activities, including relay races, football matches, and obstacle courses. The event fostered a spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship, with students cheering on their classmates and demonstrating their agility and determination. Teachers and staff actively encouraged participation, ensuring that every student had an opportunity to showcase their athletic skills. The day concluded with an award ceremony recognizing outstanding performances and team efforts, leaving everyone with lasting memories of fun and camaraderie.

Our students had a fantastic time celebrating *Garangao*! They dressed in beautiful traditional outfits, sang cheerful songs, and collected treats in their decorated bags . The school was filled with laughter, joy, and the spirit of Ramadan!

A motivation box where each student picks a card with an encouraging and motivational phrase along with a piece of chocolate. The student will read the phrase in both Arabic and English, and I will explain it to them. This will boost the student's self-confidence and strengthen their ability to keep facing challenges.
