Our Young Buds grew up 100 School Days
The KG Students at Al Manar International School- Izghawa merged in an enthusiastic spirit to celebrate the passing of 100 Days of School on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019. There were many activities during the day; all centered on “The number 100”. This annual event is a mix of reinforcing Math skills in students which they face in real life situations.
The objective of this activity was to strengthen KG students’ recognition of the number “100”, grouping items into 100’s, exploring what 100 items look like; example the 100 QR, using numbers during play and daily classroom, as well as being able to count to 100 by tens. KG teachers prepared many activities using numbers, shapes and colors for this day. KG1 students enjoyed reading numbers from 1 till 100 written on colored circles and sticking them on the Gum Ball figure. KG2 students had made cartoon crowns and pasted 100 stars on its strips.
Parents were invited to participate in this activity, and they joined their children to celebrate their love for Math and numbers with them! This activity helped students in developing their mental and fine motor skills.
“100 School Days activity” was very useful for our students in the educational learning process and they were excited for sharing this day with their parents which will be an unforgettable memory.
